Erika Kolenich is a Libertarian Candidate in the 2020 Gubernatorial race in West Virginia!

Erika Kolenich is a resident of Buckhannon, WV where she resides with her husband, Karl, and Iris, their daughter. She was raised in West Virginia, the daughter of small business entrepreneurs. They taught her work ethic and personal responsibility at an early age. Erika graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in 1997. While attending high school, she was a member of the band and frequently participated in extracurricular events such as theatre and Youth in Government.

Upon graduating high school, Erika attended West Virginia Wesleyan College where she double majored in Dramatic Arts and Political Science. Upon graduating WVWC in 2001, Erika attended law school at the University of Akron.
Following the passage of both the Ohio and West Virginia bar exams, Erika returned to West Virginia and worked at a litigation law firm in Wheeling West Virginia. Shortly thereafter, she made the jump to open her own practice in Buckhannon, West Virginia. Erika is now the managing member of Klie Law Offices, PLLC, a litigation firm that focuses in litigation. She has devoted her career to representing West Virginians.

Erika donates countless hours to community and civic organizations. She served as the Executive Producer of Buckhannon Community Theatre from 2011 – 2018. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Upshur Human Resources, Inc, the local Head Start program. She also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Buckhannon-Upshur Chamber of Commerce and the Buckhannon Historic Landmarks Commission. She is the past president and board member of the Upshur Arts Alliance. In addition to her many board appointments, Erika often volunteers and gives time to other community based organizations.

Erika enjoys physical activity and often spends her time hiking the mountains of West Virginia
with her family and their dog. She also enjoys traveling but has always found that nothing feels better than returning home to West Virginia.
